Amazon Web Services. How do I get along with you?

I have just begun my foray into cloud hosted services. Unfortunately, while I would like all my journeys to begin with a spark, a desire of my own, I find this journey handed to me. Sadly, I find myself directed in ways that I wish I weren’t, and that has me at odds with my desire. Work with a new technology, one that could prove all sorts of fun, or shun it because some one else thinks that the cloud is a hammer that can solve all problems?

So, to my chagrin, I find myself now, with this, a first step into a new world. A presentation of myself as an experiment. Will it work out? Will anything of value come from it, even something so simple as my own education? I guess only time will tell.
